What are master classes?
Masterclasses offer an exciting up-close and personal way for industry experts to share their knowledge, experience and passion for all things craft beer. Our master-classes or as we like to call them beer education sessions will take place every hour throughout the weekend.

Who will be there?
Melbourne BeerFest hosts a huge and comprehensive range of Australian Craft Brewers and Cider-makers, Artisan Distillers and Cocktail specialists, Vineyards, local select venues, gourmet street food, iconic and emerging talent with live entertainment.
Our exhibiting vendors have being announced via our who’s there page. There’s also a festival map showing the location and full line up.
How much are the drinks?
Drinks will vary from $1-$2 for 100 ml tastings, with a 285 ml pour typically been around $6-9, as decided by the vendors themselves.
How can I purchase drinks and food?
Remember, Melbourne BeerFest is a cashless event.
Square terminals are used for all purchases. Please come prepared.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
A wristband allowing drink purchases/ consumption is only given to people 18+. Discounted tickets are available for ages 12 – 17, with under 12 been free.
Under 18’s must accompany a paying adult 18+.
Can I volunteer at the festival?
If you’d like to volunteer, see our volunteer page. Make sure you apply at the right time – we’re only looking for volunteers in the weeks ahead of the festival.
Will there be non-alcoholic beverages?
YES! There will be a variety of amazing zero/ low alcohol beers, ciders, cocktails & seltzers.
Also we’ll have numerous food, water, juices and soft drink options available for purchase onsite. Complimentary water stations will also be provided (feel free to bring an empty water bottle).
What do I need to bring with me to BeerFest?
To make sure you come prepared for your day, we recommend you bring:
Tickets – can be printed or scanned from your phone
Card – you can pay via Card, PayWave, PayPass
ID – There are three forms of acceptable identification for proof-of-age, you will need to hold one of these in order to enter the venue: Current Australian Driver’s Licence with photograph, Current Passport or Official Proof-of-Age card. We do not accept expired IDs, photos of IDs, receipts from an ID purchased, or any other photo ID card. You must have one of the forms of ID to enter.
Shoes – Unfortunately we will not be able to let you into the site without appropriate footwear.
A hat and sunnies! It’s a big day and you can never be too sunsafe! Sunscreen is available at the ticket office and at the First Aid.
We recommend you bring a portable phone charger – we do not generally offer a charging zone

Will there be pass outs? I’d like to explore Melbourne
Yes, the festival goes all day and there is a lot to take in, so you may need a break or two to catch your breath throughout the weekend.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes dogs are welcome but please ensure they’re comfortable around crowds and to clean up after your dog.
What items can I bring (and NOT bring)?
Backpacks are ok; however, all bags will be checked by security on entry

Can I smoke anywhere at the festival?
Smoking is permitted in designated smoking areas only. If you are unsure, please ask a staff member on the day.

Do we accept Companion Cards?
We do! BeerFest festivals are events that accept companion cards, simply show the card at entry. Only one ticket will be required with the companion receiving complementary entry.
I can’t locate my ticket, what are my options
Lost your ticket? No worries. Contact us and let us know and we’ll get back to you promptly.
If it’s the festival weekend, you could also see us at the ticket box located at the main entrance. We can look it up.
ps, Tickets can be scanned from any device so don’t worry about printing them.
I have day & evening tickets, can I stay during the intermission between the sessions?
The site is cleared of patrons at the conclusion of the Day session at 4 PM. This allows the site to be thoroughly cleaned, the alcohol & food exhibitors to restock and for everyone to have a bit of a break.
Catani Gardens is located alongside the world famous St Kilda foreshore in St Kilda, so there’s plenty to explore if you are planning to attend both sessions.
